Consultation

At a consultation you will meet with a qualified teacher to talk about any worries you may have in relation to Dyslexia or other hidden disabilities (Dyspraxia, Attention Deficit Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autistic Spectrum Disorder or Dyscalculia) about yourself or your child, partner or colleague.

The teacher will ask about the persons education and family history, as well as any support they may have already received, either through school, home, work or through further/higher education. They will also talk to you about hidden disabilities and whether the signs of these disabilities align with your difficulties.

During the consultation the teacher will take you through the signs of Dyslexia in children or adult questionnaire, to enable them to provide you with the most appropriate advice and guidance.

Dyslexia and other hidden disabilities are known to have a familial link, so you can take this opportunity to talk about anyone else you may be worried about, in relation to hidden disabilities.

The consultation usually takes about 30 minutes and is confidential.

If further assessments are required then we can arrange this for you at a local centre or at your school work, college or university.
